MRT climbing procedure
1 . Use a throwline to install climbing lines over a suitable anchor point or
anchor points . Load test each line to ensure it is suitable .
2 . Install a basal anchor releasable system for each line .
Rescue services should include 2 ropes to ensure an independent belay can be achieved .
Prepare MRT climbing systems .
3 . Ascend the line using a suitable ascent mechanism whilst advancing
an auto-belay device on the belay line .
Climber to take prepared MRT systems with them during ascent .
4 . Reach the top of the ascent line .
Remain attached to both access lines .
If necessary , install lanyard around branch or trunk and load test to increase stability .
Begin rope throwing to set MRT system over a higher anchor point .
